• All students can learn 

• A growth-mindset is essential for creating active learners in and out of the classroom 

• Every student should be given the opportunity to be active participants in their learning experience 

• Learning environments should be culturally attuned to students’ needs and assets

• Lessons and instructions should include multiple means of engagement to provide learners of all learning styles the opportunity to succeed 

• Collaborative work should be a focal point in lesson planning 

• Students should be assessed in a variety of ways, aside from traditional testing, that showcase their understanding of certain content 

• Educators, including myself, should be open to new educational practices, and instruction should be adaptable, never fixed 

• Educators, including myself, have a responsibility to provide accessible and equitable opportunities towards success for their students
